{“type”:”text”,”text”:”This is Steven Chayer with the DisputeVoice Podcast Show. If you’ve ever been burned, scammed, or suspicious that something isn’t right, or perhaps you want to learn more about protecting yourself or a loved one, you’re in the right place.\n\nListen up folks, because Craigslist is like a yard sale in the Wild West – plenty of good deals, but also plenty of snake oil salesmen looking to separate you from your hard-earned cash. Today I’m sharing five red flags that’ll help you spot the fakes faster than a three-dollar bill at Fenway Park.\n\nFirst red flag – they want payment through wire transfer or gift cards. Legitimate sellers take cash or PayPal, not iTunes cards. That’s like asking to be paid in Monopoly money – wicked shady, if you ask me.\n\nSecond – the price is suspiciously low. Nobody’s selling a working MacBook for fifty bucks unless it fell off the back of a very questionable truck.\n\nThird – they can’t meet in person. Real sellers meet at Starbucks, not make excuses about being out of state.\n\nFourth – generic photos straight from Google. If they can’t snap a picture with today’s newspaper, they don’t have the item.\n\nFifth – pressure tactics. \”Buy now or lose forever\” is for infomercials, not legitimate transactions.\n\nThis is Steven Chayer with the DisputeVoice Podcast Show. DisputeVoice publishes the names and evidence online, shining a light on disputes and making sure Google puts the facts front and center for everyone to see.
